About BIM Bricks
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a collaborative design approach that involves creating a comprehensive computer model of a building.
The process encompasses generating and managing data-rich, digital representations of the physical and functional characteristics of a facility.
At bimbricks.com, we aim to provide an extensive range of BIM data for all Michelmersh brick and paver products, catering to the diverse needs of Building Information Modelling. Our data sets come in multiple formats optimized for various software packages commonly used in the industry.
Michelmersh has been a pioneering force in adopting BIM data, and we take pride in unveiling BIM Version 4 (V4), our most advanced files yet.
To access the appropriate files, simply browse through our wide selection of brick brands, choose the desired product, and navigate to the dedicated BIM section. There, you can effortlessly download the required files. For further assistance or detailed information regarding file properties and their effective utilization, please consult our comprehensive help section.

Michelmersh is the UK’s premium producer of clay bricks, pavers, special shaped bricks, bespoke Terra Cotta and prefabricated brick components and systems.
In May 2011, the UK Government mandated the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for all construction projects exceeding £5 million funded by the government.
Traditionally, building design heavily relied on 2D drawings. However, BIM revolutionises this approach by expanding it into the realm of 3D and beyond. It goes beyond the three primary spatial dimensions of height, width, and depth, introducing the potential for a fourth dimension of time and even a fifth dimension of cost.
For professionals involved in the construction process, BIM enables the transfer of a virtual information model from the design team to the contractors, and ultimately to the owner or operator. This creates a shared model to minimise information loss and provide a comprehensive range of information rich data.
Improved productivity due to easy retrieval of information
Increased co-ordination of construction and management documents
Embeded and link ed vital facility information
As BIM grows it will play an even more crucial role in building documentation. If you feel we could improve upon the data supplied or have omitted information that would make assimilating our products easier, please let us know.
